Expedition Olympus Space_Ready 1

The Space Ready 1 mission represented a major milestone in analog space exploration. It was the first AATC mission of the 2026 season, the first conducted in the newly established habitat, and the first to include communication delays with Mission Control, requiring a high level of crew autonomy.

The mission involved significant operational and scientific challenges, especially because manuals and procedures were still under development. For this reason, the crew’s feedback and recommendations were essential for improving future protocols and documentation.

A key feature of the mission was its unusually large crew of eleven participants, made up of a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse team. Under the leadership of Commander Kristina, the crew showed strong teamwork, cohesion, and adaptability, supported also by informal team-building activities.

Scientifically, the mission included an assessment of social dynamics using Estimote sensor technology, as well as several individual research and technical projects that will be presented at future conferences. The mission also generated public and academic outreach through articles, social media, and professional communication channels.

At the end of the mission, all participants received official certification recognizing their successful completion of the Space Ready 1 analog astronaut mission.
